E.S. Aesthetic is the creator behind DJ ORANGES.

On the Series

DJ ORANGES was created as a tribute to music and to my friends who were always there through every stage of life.

On Memories

The project was created in honor of my best friend Oranges, and to preserve the memory of the pets I grew up alongside. In Sam’s case, only a single photograph remains.

As years passed, I realized how easily even the most important companions can begin to fade away. Through the development of this series, I remembered my friends who inspired these characters and the real moments of life connected to each of them.

On Perfection

You can’t edit a book that isn’t written, and you can’t improve work that never leaves your head.

For most of my life, the pursuit of unobtainable perfection kept me from creating at all. Ideas stayed ideas, never becoming real, because they never felt good enough to share. DJ ORANGES was an attempt to move past that. Its message became intentionally simple: The goal isn’t perfection... it’s curiosity.

The character of DJ Oranges was written as someone unafraid to make mistakes, creating momentum pushing him forward in ways that wouldn’t be possible without failure.

On Friendship

The pets who shared my life were constant, loyal, and present in ways I didn’t fully understand or appreciate until much later in life. This series is my way of remembering them, giving them a legacy, and sharing their memory with the world.

On Pet Adoption

Pets can change your life. They can give you reason to keep moving forward.

Adoption is a lifelong commitment. Oranges is my best friend, and it’s difficult to imagine that he experienced multiple owners and long shelter stays before we found each other.

A pet may be only a part of your life... but to them, you are everything.
